SOSIOLOGI PENDIDIKAN: MENJELASKAN DINAMIKA PENERIMAAN ANAK BERKEBUTUHAN KHUSUS DI TK INKLUSI BINA BINTANG BINAAN PT ARUTMIN INDONESIA NPLCT DI KOTA BARU
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aims to explain the dynamics of the acceptance of children with special needs (CSN) in inclusive education from the perspective of the sociology of education at Bina Bintang Inclusive Kindergarten, PT Arutmin Indonesia NPLCT, Kotabaru. The study employed a qualitative approach using a case study design to explore social interactions, learning practices, and the construction of meaning within an inclusive school environment. The findings indicate that the acceptance of children with special needs (CSN) is a social process shaped by three interrelated dimensions. First, teachers’ roles as agents of socialization are evident in their efforts to facilitate social interaction, promote values of equality, empathy, and solidarity, and foster positive behavioral practices within the classroom. Second, the dynamics of social interaction between typically developing students and CSN demonstrate that repeated everyday interactions can enhance students’ understanding of differences and encourage more accepting attitudes. Third, structural and cultural factors also influence this process, particularly through school policies, institutional support, and students’ family backgrounds. These three dimensions are interconnected in shaping an inclusive learning environment. Thus, inclusive education involves not only ensuring access to learning for CSN but also facilitating a process of socialization and the development of social values through everyday interactions within the school environment.
